Sewing Projects

In between snowstorms, we managed to squeeze in another sewing lesson. Emma decided that she wanted to make an apron and a skirt.

Both projects were very simple & didn't take much time at all. I'm so impressed by the progress Emma has made in such a short amount of time. Her control over the peddle has improved greatly, not as much "speeding" as she used to do. And her ability to keep the stitch even and straight has vastly improved since her last lesson.

Emma made the apron freehand, with guidance from our teacher, Carrie.

Her second project of the day, a skirt, was made by following a pattern, which we modified slightly.

Sophie continues to "monkey around" during lessons and has yet to sew anything....

We left just in time as the snow started to fall a few miles from home & it didn't stop for 2 days!
